Pride Month Events Across the Region – Delco Times

The region will celebrate June as Philadelphia Gay Pride Month with 30 days and hundreds of ways to get out there, proud and gay in the city of brotherly love and brotherly affection. There will be events, activities, benefits, specials and programs for all ages and demographics, by community organizations, small businesses, non-profit organizations, cultural institutions, tourist attractions, restaurants, bars and more.

Events will take place throughout the region in the city, suburbs and everywhere in between. The month-long celebration is brought to you thanks to the support of generous sponsors FCM Hospitality, as well as BOS Philly, Aversa PR, PhillyGayCalendar, Brittany Lynn and the Philly Drag Mafia, as well as other community organizations, organizers, leaders and property owners. company have partnered for the second year to bring our community together. 1) LGBTQ Hall of Flags and Philly Gay Pride Flag Exhibit: Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square, 120 S. 17th S., Philadelphia, 215-569-8300,

Sofitel Philadelphia invites the community to celebrate the Philadelphia Pride rainbow flag outside the building in June. An oversized rainbow flag, with Philly’s addition of brown and black stripes to honor the community’s diversity, greets visitors as they enter to the left of the front doors. Inside, look to rebrand the hall in Philadelphia’s LGBTQ flags. Look for the locally designed, newsworthy Philadelphia Rainbow Flag to also take center stage in the lobby, showcasing the diversity of our local community. Philadelphia’s rainbow flag will be joined by a host of LGBTQ flags flying high in the lobby to celebrate different facets of the local gay community, including the Lesbian Pride Flag, the Gender Fluid Pride Flag , Binary Pride Flag, Pansexual Pride Flag, Transgender Pride. 2) Cocktails for a Cause: by FCM Hospitality, eleven locations around Philadelphia

FCM Hospitality presents a special month-long fundraiser for four local charities during Philadelphia Pride Month. Drink the rainbow with Cocktails for a Cause at Liberty Point, The Garden at Cherry Street Pier, The Dolphin, Morgan’s Pier, Craft Hall, Parks on Tap, Rosy’s Taco Bar, Harper’s Garden, Lola’s Garden, Concourse Dance Bar and Juno. Each FCM location will work in unison to raise funds for LGBTQ community programs during Pride Month. Each property will offer a drink that matches a color of the all-inclusive LGBTQ rainbow flag. One dollar from each rainbow drink will provide donations to four charities, including the William Way LGBT Community Center, Attic Youth Center, Philly Asian Queer and Galaei. Watch for exciting news and a special surprise for this Philadelphia Flyers and Flyers Charities program, including a special orange pride cocktail.

The first Cocktails for a Cause Pride Party and Kick-Off event will take place June 9 at Liberty Point from 5-8 p.m. This is the one and only event that will feature all eleven cocktail parties, along with Philadelphia Flyers, Flyers Charities and Gritty. Our Night Out is side-by-side at Liberty Point on the same night from 6-9 p.m.

Come dress up for Pride Month by supporting Philadelphia’s largest gay thrift store where you can find a rainbow of fashion all month long! Whether you want to celebrate with all eight colors of Philly’s rainbow or add your own personal style, Philly AIDS Thrift has shirts, pants, dresses, shoes, accessories and more for everyone. – and for all tastes. Don’t forget to stop by the vintage jewelry room to add some extra sparkle and bling to your pride outfit. Plus, support one of our community’s most important nonprofits by purchasing home goods, games, and other money-saving items. Donate and do good in June by donating gently used items to the thrift store. Pride month and June are a great month to clean basements, downstairs houses, and closets. Philly AIDS Thrift turns yesterday’s treasures into tomorrow’s grants to help provide vital services to dozens of HIV/AIDS organizations.

Bagels and Co. and Glu Hospitality are proud to support Philly Gay Pride Month and the LGBTQ community with one dollar from every rainbow bagel sold in June at the William Way LGBT Community Center to support their ongoing work in the community.
